What kinds of things do people seek counseling for?
It is common for people to seek out counseling for various reasons. It is specifically utilized when one is needing help understanding themselves and needing help navigating the circumstances of their life. It is when they realize the path they are on is not how they want to live or they want to make positive change. Therapy can help create change. Therapy can help provide awareness, meaning and peace.
How does counseling help?
Awareness of oneself is crucial to change. Counseling will help obtain this awareness and identify causes and trends that will help enlighten and empower you. With this, change will occur.
How long do counseling sessions last?
Sessions are 45-50 minutes long.
How long will I be in counseling?
This will be determined by our collaborative approach and the extent of the issues you are tackling. It can be as short or as long as needed. Best news is you are in charge of this!
How do I attend sessions?
I offer the flexibility of in-person or telehealth sessions. Whichever is most convenient for you works! While I do believe it is best to come in-person, it is also incredibly valuable to do online. Also, we can do a hybrid model. It is all based on what feels most effective for you.
What is the cost? Can I use my insurance?
The cost of therapy is $145 per session due at the time of service. If you would like to submit an insurance claim independently, I can provide you with a “superbill” for each session which has all the items necessary for you to submit directly to your insurance provider. Please contact your provider for more details on self-submissions. Depending on your insurance plan, they can reimburse you accordingly.
How do I pay?
I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment.
What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Please be sure to cancel at least 48 hours prior to our appointment. If you fail to cancel 48 hours prior, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
